The Ballarat and District Golf Association Junior Boys had their first ever win in the 2009 Victorian Junior Country Regional Championship at Kyenton on Sunday 9th August.

The 2 day event saw the boys leading after the first day but with some great score being posted, held the lead throughout the final day. The boys won the scratch event by 23 shots and with handicaps subtracted they also took out the nett event as well.

They have had plenty of practice leading upto the event with their new coach, Ballarat professional Domonic Azzopardi. 9 players were selected each day from the squad of 12 players from the BDGA clubs.

Our other winner was Jordan Lett who won the best player of the championship with score of 78 & 73.
